What is this project?
This is a collective digital artwork composed of anonymous gestures.
Each person contributes once—permanently, irreversibly, and without attribution.
There are no names, no credits, no profiles. Just one intention, multiplied.
Is this art?
We believe is what some refer to as conceptual art, some others as contemporary art and some others an unnecessary academic excercise.
It is also a system. A stance. A refusal. A quiet invitation.
We don’t define it. We don’t explain it.
We only offer it and hope each can find its meaning, we certainly have found ours.
Who is behind it?
A faceless collective.
There are no founders, no artists, no leaders.
Only people who build, maintain, and keep it running.
They are not elevated. They are not known.
But their labor is acknowledged—quietly and structurally.
Is there a cost to participate?
There is a required minor contribution to take part, but it is not a payment, and it is not a donation.
It is a way of acknowledging the (in)visible work:
the people who wrote the code, keep the system alive, and will continue preserving the archive indefinitely.
We don’t sell access. We don’t ask for charity.
We simply recognize that even anonymity must be sustained.
What do I receive in return?
After your gesture is made, you may download a small screenshot of your contribution if you wish.
You can frame it, share it, keep it in a safe or burnt it in a conteporary performance,
or even offer it as a gift to somebody, in the end you are the only one to know you actually took part or not.
This is not a certificate, not a token of status.
It is a personal relic — a moment you may carry, or choose to leave behind.
A tool for memory. Nothing more.
Why can’t I add my name?
Because this project is about the gesture, not the identity.
You matter—but your name does not.
We do not celebrate individual creativity.
We dissolve it into a collective presence.
Who Started This?
What remains when the artist is no longer the frame?
What shifts when recognition belongs only to the act?
What kinds of value appear when creation is freed from possession?
We do not resolve these questions; we keep them alive—suspended, unclaimed, and open to collective discussion.
The origin is irrelevant; only the work remains.
Who Runs This?
Someone writes the code.
Someone keeps the archive safe.
Someone monitors uptime and server load.
Someone answers questions.
But these roles are temporary, interchangeable, and functional.
They are tasks, not titles. Actions, not positions.
We don’t reward these actions.
We don’t elevate the contributors.
Responsibility exists—but recognition does not.
The (In)Visible must still be maintained.
That’s the paradox of any anonymous structure—it still has a frame.
We accept it. We maintain it.
Can I edit or remove my gesture later?
No. Every contribution is final, anonymous, and irreversible.
This is part of the ethic: To act, and then to let go.
Is this political?
No. Not in the way you might expect.
We are not affiliated with any party, ideology, or doctrine.
This project does not seek to represent, endorse, or reject any political stance.
It may resonate with many positions — or none.
But we make no claim to frame it.
We don’t label it. We don’t defend it. We don’t promote it.
We just let it exist.
Can I use or remix what I find here?
Yes.
Everything here is public, accessible, and open to interpretation or transformation.
You may explore it, print it, remix it, or ignore it.
But you may not call it anything other than "GRID no.1." You may not brand it. You may not own it.
